Meet Vaquita (little cow for her spots). This chihuahua was hit by a car and left for dead. Maybe the driver didn’t notice. Maybe he did. Our rescue partner in Chetumal saw a fb post and rushed to help. They have amazing hearts but struggle to raise donations. We always offer to pay when they can’t. This is one of those times. Vaquita is with our vet on pain and anti inflammatory meds. She was crying out in pain with 2 fractured ribs and an enflamed cervical ligament. She is wearing a neck brace while they try to reduce the swelling. We will never turn our back and let a dog suffer if we can stop it.
