A few weeks ago we were asked to help a little dog who was hit by a car after she escaped from her house. A man selling newspapers on the street saw the accident. The driver didn’t bother to stop. Our friend Pause Collins rushed the bleeding pup to the vet. Manchas has a family who loves her, but like many people here, they are unable to afford vet care. We sponsored emergency surgery to rebuild her bladder and hip. After almost 2 weeks in the hospital, Manchas was taken back to her family. The granddaughter had tears in her eyes when Manchas came home, and Manchas’ tail never stopped wagging. The family found her in the garbage as a baby 2 years ago and brought her home. For this little moment all is right in the world.
We are infinitely grateful to our supporters. Without you none of this would be possible.
