The puppy tested positive for parvo Parvo is a virus for which there is no specific treatment. The vet team will focus on treating his symptoms (lack of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea and extreme dehydration), but based on what they see, his prognosis is poor. He is currently hospitalized and receiving the best care possible. We just have to wait. Thank you Ma Guadalupe Ortiz Mendez for not walking past him like everyone else did.

His name is Noni, after the tree under which he was found.
A fellow rescuer just asked me for help. She is, as we all are, struggling. She wrote that even though she is full she could not leave this baby alone just because he had the misfortune to be born into this world. How easy it must have been for people to throw him away under a tree because he is sick. He is vomiting, hot to the touch and does not walk. Her note made me cry.
They are on their way to our partner vet now
Got to spend some time with our friends at Estética & Estancia para Mascotas “A Pata Suelta” and play with the 7 dogs we have in boarding We are so incredibly grateful to have a safe and happy space for former street dogs to recover while they wait for forever homes. This is a new project (expense) for us, but with covid-19 challenges, it is a wondeful addition to our rescue operation. Thanks to our donors, these dogs are no longer suffering on the street
Rescues helping rescues
Ambar is a lucky dog. He is no longer on the street and has two dedicated human rescuers helping him out. We recently sponsored vet care for him including: a heartworm test (neg), blood work, antibiotics, vitamin gel & medicated shampoo for his skin issue.
We hope he’ll be feeling better soon
Helping them helps our own hearts
Milagros is a street dog. The kind woman who feeds her asked us to sponsor her vetting. Milagros is anemic with a body score of 2/5, has fleas & ticks and worst of all has a transmissible venereal tumor. We are really struggling lately but will do our best to pay for her chemo. It’s approx $75 usd per treatment (she needs at least 2). Right now she is home with her finder resting, eating and taking her meds. She had a Nexguard, bloodwork, tvt exam and went home with antibiotics and vitamin gel. She has a follow up exam next week. Send good vibes for this girl
