**CAUTION GRAPHIC**

One of the dogs we treated for mange last year. This little man just can’t get rid of this. It comes and goes. We gave him a bravecto last month. I hoped to see today that he was better. It’s worse. Will go back tomorrow with antibiotics and weekly injections for his dad to give him. Poor baby. Life on the beach isn’t easy for these dogs.

We’re heading north of the wall for vaca soon! Today I made the rounds to make sure the dogs we help are set while we’re away. I stopped at Adolfo’s with giant bags of food, frontlined and put new flea collars on his dogs, gave our neighbors a ton of frontline to treat their dogs all summer – and some extra for street dogs at their house in the city. Their puppy got a nexgard. Then to the gas station to drop off food and frontline to the sweet lady who feeds the strays that live there 😢

Mahahual friends- Alice needs a foster home for the summer. She is heartworm positive (not contagious) and needs a little extra love. Her food and medications will be paid for. Just love her as your own until November 1. Fostering a dog literally saves lives. Please message me if you can help. Xo.

“Bear” aka “Teddy Bear” (since the name Bear is already being used by a super gorgeous pup who looks even more Bear-like 🐻) checking in from his temporary digs. And being quite spoiled it seems ❤️ Our friends at Etobicoke Humane Society are so awesome!!

Rudy then and now. Its been a long recovery for our baby boy who was found practically lifeless on the side of the road in Chetumal. He was suffering from what so many here suffer from: starvation, dehydration, intestinal parasites and mange. Thankfully Ingrid Angelina Lopez and her crew rescued Rudy from the street and nursed him back to life. We are so incredibly grateful to have spent these last 5 months with him. Tomorrow he starts his new life in Canada. I miss you already my little man 😢

Rudy and Josie are leaving us tomorrow to start new lives in Toronto! We work so hard to give our pups these opportunities, but holy hell it hurts to say goodbye. Ps – miss I can’t decide which step to sit on is not traveling tomorrow.
