Carmelita has been through a lot in her short life. Her rescuer tried to catch her for days during a tropical storm. The streets were flooded. It’s anyone’s guess where she hid from the rain. She was terrified of humans. Since mid June, this little monkey has been living at our vet. A hospital is the first home she has ever known. Carmelita’s mange has cleared up, but she still has serious GI issues including an intestinal blockage requiring surgery. She looks like a different dog, but her fight is not yet over.
