Miss Anita was rescued from the street after someone ran over her paw and left her to die. She lay suffering in weeds and garbage. We couldn’t save the paw, but we could save her! Our rescue partners Ingrid Angelina Lopez and Adriana Arcos Arcos rushed her to the hospital and spent many months caring for her after surgery. We are so grateful for their dedication to the homeless dogs of Chetumal. We are beyond grateful to our supporters who give us the opportunity to fund vet care, food, and medical boarding for so many dogs like Anita. Yesterday Anita caught a flight to Toronto and spent her first night with her foster mama, who even gave her a pretty doggy sock for her missing paw
This baby is getting all the love she deserves and then some
A zillion thanks to Paws Across the Water for your friendship, trust and love of Mexi pups and to Sandra Train for always being available with a magic wand when plans go sideways. Thank you Dr. Henry Del Jesus Tuyub, Michelle Góngora and Dra. Claus Landero. It takes so many people to rescue just one little tiny little pup. We are surrounded by the best humans on the planet
