Moka has been adopted!!! She is officially a Canadian citizen 🇨🇦 🙋♀️ Her life started out pretty awful. She lived alone on the streets of Chetumal scavenging for food at the market. Vendors aren’t always nice to street dogs.
Our friend and fellow rescuer Iany Salazar Alvarez fell in love with Moka and took her to be spayed. However there were complications, and Moka needed surgery at the local hospital. Iany couldn’t bear the thought of putting this sweet girl back on the street, so she kept her in her home until a foster spot opened up. Thank you Shannon Angell for letting Moka crash at your place for a bit 🌴🏠 Moka eventually made her way to us and then to our friends at Etobicoke Humane Society 🐱🐶
It takes so many people doing so many different things to get one dog to safety. We are eternally grateful to be surrounded by people who care enough to make it happen. Happy new life baby girl!
