Xpujil is a small town a few hours from our rescue. We pass it driving back and forth to the US. Like most other towns in Mexico the homeless pet population there is heartbreaking. Huellitas Calakmul Respete Rescate Adopte Protege brings low-cost spay/neuter campaigns to the town as often as they can. Last weekend we donated the cost of 20 surgeries (110 to date). Many pet owners understand the benefits of s/n but struggle to afford it. Unwanted litters of puppies and kittens often end up dumped on the street. We are committed to trying to change that.
